GPU intensive games tend to perform well. Many games that are GPU intensive use shaders, where the calculation is all done on the GPU. Shadowplay uses the CPU to implement its shadow cast algorithm. You are running a simple ray-tracer and the GPU is doing the heavy lifting.

This is probably the most common reason why people use Shadowplay on games or video games that are GPU intensive. But when you try Shadowplay on a game that is GPU intensive, it only works for one video game and you get all the frames from the other game, and then it gets a bit slower.

Although the game has been made CPU-intensive, the game itself is still a GPU game. The CPU is only doing things for the GPU. The GPU is still doing everything on the CPU. So if you’re a gamer who doesn’t want to use a GPU, and you want to use Shadowplay on a game that is GPU intensive, you should really think twice about it. Shadowplay is definitely a game that you should try if you play video games that are GPU intensive.
