If you’re into streamers, you’ve probably heard about the aussie open stream. This is a new streaming platform that was started in this country by a few streamers to help them get over the hurdle and start their own streaming platform. Australia is one of the most open countries in the world in regards to internet access, with more people than ever having access to the internet. Australia is also one of the most progressive countries in regards to internet freedom.
The aussie open stream is also very well-respected in the community, with a growing number of streamers signing up. Aussie streams are pretty good for what they are, and its a pretty cool idea. But it still seems to be lacking quite a bit of internet access. And we’re not just talking about streaming for streaming’s sake.
The reason for this is because the Australian Government has strict regulations on internet access. In this particular case, the rules for the open stream restrict internet access to those living in the country (i.e. those who are born and/or live in Australia). So essentially you cant just stream, but if you wanted to use the internet for video game related things (such as a video game club, or watching TV shows for free), you might have a problem.
They also make it a crime to watch TV without a valid licence, so you can be charged with fraud. So basically anyone living in the country, even just for a few hours, is pretty much toast.
The government might not like it, but this is the law. Australia has a population of ~40 million people, so it’s probably a bit overkill for them to enforce it, but it’s also a good idea to keep in mind. Just a heads up.

I just went through the same thing, and it was a bit ridiculous.
The Australian government has a pretty strict policy regarding the size of the gatherings that can be held in parks in their country. And for the most part, they’re pretty lenient. But there are a few exceptions. If you want to go to one of the city parks in a larger town, you can’t have more than 20 people, or if you have a big group of people you can have up to 100.
Well, this is a bit out of my wheelhouse, but this has to do with the amount of time that you can take during a stream. Most of the time, its going to be between 5 and 15 minutes. But in the case of these big events, you can go for upwards of 30 minutes. The reason for this is that with the amount of people on the internet that are online at once, you might have people all around you who are watching.
